When? Wednesday 1 December 2021 at 4pm
Where? Elvet Riverside 1, Room A29 (Russian World Centre)
We are launching a reading group on Italian literature starting in December. The group will meet once a month to discuss a title (a novel, a short story, or even just a passage from a book). The first meeting will be held on Wednesday 1 December at the Russian World Centre (Room A29). We will talk about the short story Zeta by Lucia Ghebreghiorges from the collection Future, focusing on blackness in today's Italy through the voice of eleven Afro Italian women writers. The readings will be in Italian, while the discussion will be in English.
We welcome suggestions and proposals for upcoming readings. The group is open to anyone who might be interested!
